One of these things is not like the other

Do you remember Sesame Street?  See the video below for a reminder.

Here is a quick and easy way to practice vocabulary / key terms / themes etc.

1.       Put together a list of key terms (keep it simple and say 4).  3 of them connect and 1 doesn't.  Have the students identify the one that doesn't connect.

2.       Have them explain why the other three connect or why the outlier doesn't.

3.       Put together 2 - 4 groups of words to practice.

4.       Provide the students an opportunity to create them on their own - if you want to add movement - get them up and have them put the terms on the board.
